Build your view¶
Fill in your Jira fields and PI calendar, then generate the Structure views. Everything runs in your browser – nothing is uploaded. Your settings are kept in this browser; export them as a config file to keep or share them.
1Platform
2Jira fields
Number of customfield_10016 → 10016
Field holding the PI name of an Epic
e.g. dc_note_1
Epics with this label hold later PIs on purpose (no XL warning)
Find the field ids automatically
Open https://<your-jira>/rest/api/2/field in your browser while logged in, copy
the whole page and paste it here. The list stays in this browser.
3PI calendar
| PI name | Start | End | Days |

Paste from a spreadsheet
One PI per line: name, start, end – separated by tabs, semicolons or commas. Dates as
2027-03-22 or 22.03.2027. Replaces the PIs of this calendar.
4Options
Only values that are comparable across teams are offered. Story Point columns stay in the full view.
5Generate
Loading the generator (about 10 MB on the first visit)…
6Push to Structure Cloud (optional)
Only for Jira Cloud. On Data Center, import the files – Structure Data Center has no documented API for views.
Creates the generated views directly in Structure Cloud through the official Structure Cloud API. Your browser talks to Structure directly; the token is not stored. Views cannot be changed through the API, so every push creates new views – delete old ones in Structure.
Structure → personal settings → API tokens. Use a short expiry.
Sets the full view as the structure's default view
Next: import the files in Structure – see Getting started for Data Center or for Cloud.
